Cornered

Shoal moved Lord Must’s tied-up unconscious body to the corner of the basement storeroom and revived him in order to seek some answers and ask for his cooperation. The group attempted to get Lord Must to turn away his guards who they could hear searching the Mansion above. Must agreed on the condition that he be healed and allowed to finish the ritual on his wife & daughter before he spoke to the guards. The group could not agree on this point and after seeing that he would not get the assurances he needed; Lord Must called out for his guards who breached the basement to rescue their Lord. Flynn blocked the guards at the stairwell while Rayna began hacking away at Lord Must; killing him for his backstabbing.

The guards got off a rallying cry which drew the attention of all the patrols near the premises. The group attempted to break out of the basement, but guards surrounded them. Flynn managed to break through their lines, but fell on his way out of the hallway. Shoal followed after Flynn, heroically dragging his body away to safety and escape.

Unfortunately, while this happened Rayna and Ana were struck down by the guards and Reuben was forced to retreat into the basement. Flynn miraculously came to consciousness as Shoal dragged them away from the mansion. Reuben tried to convince the guards that they were on the same side and while he did, Rayna also came back to consciousness through a miraculous feat of fortitude. Though Rueben was not able to get the guards on his side, he did buy enough time for Rayna to stealthy stabilize Ana avoiding her potential death. The guards round up the remaining members of the crew and bind them as Shoal brings Flynn to safety and sets back out for the mansion to see if they can save the trio.
