Artist Notes 12/31/2020: Hey guys! Happy New Year! And may 2021 be better than 2020, at the very least less “unprecedented.” :S

I just looked back at the page update I wrote on NYE last year and I’d made a comment about having never been so unprepared for the holiday season before… and that seems kind of hilarious now. This year I hardly feel like the holidays even happened? Idk. Covid made this a really weird one… but I hope you all had good holidays in spite of the situation.

Oh, also, you guys may have noticed that I changed the symbol on this new character’s head from last week (and I’m going to go back and change it on page 253, t00)–well, that’s because this past week I had the pleasure of getting to see some ancient Egyptian art and artifacts in person.  The day after Christmas we went to the art museum in Kansas City for the first time and it was amazing! Their collection was amazing, the museum is free to the public and they were very careful about limiting how many attendance were inside at once/enforcing mask policies, etc. But seriously I saw some amazing stuff and learned a few new things that’ll definitely be incorporated into some of the characters in the future!
