Artist Notes 5/15/2017: Hey guys! Happy Monday!
Again I want to begin with saying that I am totally floored and humbled by the response to the Kickstarter, it has been way beyond what I imagined! 233% funding, SO FAR!
But the Kickstarter app and backend interface kind of suck in a lot of ways, so if any of you have questions you’re better off commenting here, on any of our other social media, or emailing me at emily@eraillustration.com, otherwise I’m stuck responding to your questions in updates. Which I absolutely will do but it’s not the most direct way to convey information.
Anyway, this was a crazy week for me, at this time last week I was at the gallery opening (which, for VT locals, is going to be up at 375 Maple Street, in Burlington until May 27th, and is open to the public during business hours), and after that I graduated, AND I moved (just across town but still). XD At this moment I’m very thankful to have MNM for some life stability at the moment, so thank you guys for supporting it, this comic is my rock. XD
Enough of that though, I have some nuts and bolts: I’ve officially added Brazil and India to countries we’re shipping to, so yay. If we’re still not shipping to your country, please email me and I’ll get right on top of my post office inquiries. 🙂 Also, we officially hit the first stretch goal! 😀 A “variant” cover by illustrator Logan Pike! Both covers will appear as pages in the back of the comic (as is traditional with variants) I’ll send out a survey at the end to ask folks which image they’d like on the cover. 🙂
So with the two weeks left, I’m really crossing my fingers that we hit the $1800 stretch goal, which turns everyone’s book into a hardcover, with no extra cost to each individual (not even shipping! :D) Even if you guys can’t afford to back us, sharing the Kickstarter really helps, we’ve defiantly reached new audience thorough it, and I couldn’t be more thrilled.
So, again, thank you all, this has been quite a journey, and we’re gonna keep going full speed ahead for a long time!
