Episode 17:
Plunging Passerine

The party is confronted by Captain Mallory Okroah, captain of the Plunging Passerine, and apparently the sister to Marge, the harpy food vendor who rented their cart to the party for their Steel Heist and which the party failed to return. The group attempted to negotiate a peaceful solution with the harpy pirate crew who were apparent members of the Gold’N Grin, but the pirates demanded an exorbitant settlement of over 300 gold to settle their dispute. As negotiations dragged on and became more heated the captain lost patience and set her Owlbear and the rest of her crew on the party.
Though Shoal was able to dispose of the Captain rather quickly it set the pirate crew into a frenzy and Shoal was downed multiple times. Rayna valiant bore the brunt of the aggression from the Owlbear, Bugs, before she fell unconscious as well. However, with some expertly fired crossbow shots Flynn was able to wear down the last few harpies for Ana and ultimately the last surviving harpy decided to flee.
Victorious, but badly wounded the party gave up on their pursuit of Wulven bones and went back to the Happy Seadog Inn to rest. The next day, the party went to the market district to prepare for their assassination contract, which they would have to complete that evening. Shoal, Reuben, and Rayna all purchased weapon upgrades from Omand at his Armory and several healing potions. Then Ana ventured back to the docks and left 70 gold coins and an apology note under the doorstep of Marge the harpy’s home. She also stopped at The Heads and Shoulders Butchery and paid 10 gold for a bucket of blood and entrails for their upcoming fake murder attempt.
Now fully prepared, the party waited until the middle of the night before setting out for Must Manor to attempt their kidnapping.
