Downward Descent

Enforcer troops assemble outside the warehouse of The Cleo determined to get inside to apprehend our party. Rayna closes the front door and attempts to bar it with a nearby bench as Reuben supports her. However, this action prompts the Enforcers to break the surrounding windows of the warehouse and enter the building through the other rooms. While Rayna and Reuben become surrounded by Enforcers, the remaining crew attempts to get their bounty of surplus steel to the pier of the warehouse, desperately hoping to find some way to abscond with the steel before they are apprehended.

Rayna is quickly knocked unconscious and, upon seeing their odds dwindling, Reuben attempts to buy the rest of the team by deceiving the Enforcers into believing he is on their side and pursuing the true thieves who are still on the run. However, once the guards witness the other half of the crew on the pier, they all abandon Reuben to resume pursuit. Out of options, Shoal, Flynn, and Ana attempt to lower the crane with a few of them riding atop the stolen goods. The crane doesn’t lower quickly enough and they struggle to destroy the safety mechanism that would release the entire length of chain at once. Shoal makes a run for it to buy Flynn and Ana more time, but is quickly beaten unconscious by the Enforcers.

Meanwhile, in an impressive display of dexterity and skill, Reuben manages to cut himself free from his bonds and lift Rayna’s unconscious body. Unfortunately, his ability to remain undetected ends there as Reuben unintentionally slams a door behind him in an attempt to escape. Several Enforcers pursue him and eventually knock him unconscious. Flynn and Ana make a rapid descent down the 300 ft. tall scaffolding that supports the pier with Enforcers in pursuit.
