Trouble Brewing

Reuben, Rayna, & Shoal make a run for it and attempt to escape the prison underneath Fort Stormholme. They manage to make it past 3 floors of prison guards without discovery, but upon reaching the office of the prison house; the trio is discovered and resorts to combat. Shoal attempts to intimidate the guards into submission by threatening their lives and one of the guards calls their bluff. Shoal makes good on their threat and kills the guard which frees the trio up to continue their escape through the courtyard of the fortress. The trio reunites with Flynn and Ana at the Soaked Sail Inn and rest for the night.

The next morning, the party discussed what had happened and what they might do next over breakfast. They decide to obtain healing potions for the group and set out for an alchemist’s shop they were recommended called Yoggo’s Basement Brews. The crew finds Yoggo’s basement in the market district and meets the pernicious Redcap proprietor who drives up the prices for the Toy members of the party.

Next, the group sets out to investigate the magical tincture rumored to be in a cave outside of the city. On their way through the market district, they run into two Toy children who prove to be distractors while another child steals Rayna’s newly purchased health potion and runs off. A few of the party pursue the children through the crowded city streets and eventually catch up to them in an alleyway where they found an imposing cat Stuffkin waiting for them. The Stuffkin offers Flynn and Reuben an invitation to chat inside a nearby building and the pair accepts; leaving the Fomorians of their party behind. The Stuffkin reveals herself to be Veo, their new contact with the Greybloods.
