Episode 13:

Relocation and Reconnaissance

Heeding the advice of Veo the crew change locations and secures two rooms at the Happy Seadog Inn for the week. The squad decides to split up so they can accomplish as much as possible before they receive their next contract from the Greybloods.

Ana sets out to use her criminal connections to find some answers with Reuben sneaking out after her in disguise. Ana notices that many of the Toy urchins running around the marketplace are all making periodic trips back to a particular establishment in the Boatleg Market called Willoby’s Bargain Playthings. Inside she meets Edythe Willoby a kind, if off-putting, elderly Poppet woman who agrees to give Ana information in exchange for exorbitantly priced children’s toys. Ana learns that the head of the Kill Ring in Todmorden, Anatoli Antonenko has been misrepresenting what faction he belongs to in order to do business with both Fomorians and the Toys of the Greybloods. Willoby also agrees to send Toy children bearing messages her way with any new information she is able to gather on topics she can’t answer currently.

Meanwhile, Flynn manages to get in contact with a more friendly alchemist supplier with some savvy attempts at negotiation in the marketplace. He obtains the recipe and materials to make health potions and heads back to the Inn. Rayna and Shoal set out to put their ears to the ground and see what they can hear from local gossip around Keelhaul Heights. Rayna overhears some aristocrats talking about something called “The Privateering Act” and how it will revolutionize how the pirates in the city do business.

Everyone returns to the Happy Seadog to update the group on their pursuits before turning in for the night.
