Episode 4:
Dressed for Success

The party wakes, breaks-fast, then decides to go visit the Debonair Haberdashery to investigate the disappearance of Tommy McCormick. As they are leaving the inn they encounter a body-collector who is busy disposing of the Black Paw Boys corpses from the night before. He provides the party with directions through to the Haberdashery, but even with his aid they have difficulty finding the shop. During their search they witness The Long Haul; a daily procession made by the Gold’N Grin where they bring their wagons of loot to the Market district.
After witnessing the spectacle, the squad discovers that the Haberdashery has been renamed to “Dailee’s Dressings”. There they meet Maeve Dailee, the newly appointed proprietor of the clothing shop. Upon questioning Maeve, the crew learns that Tommy McCormicks was a debtor and a drunk. Maeve gave them the opportunity to search his living quarters above the shop and found a note that said:
“Your seat at the Rose has been opened. Meet me at the bottom of Cliffdown Row after dusk for your pass. - Denk.”
Maeve mentions that there’s a large carnival casino called The Compass Rose down in the Docks district and the crew make note to look into it when they can.
The squad then sets out to the Western Ledgewarfs to case the warehouse of the ship named The Cleo which is rumored to have a score of salvaged steel. Shoal uses their custom racial trait: Amorphous to squeeze through gaps in the wall surrounding the warehouse. They are able to scout the number of guards, and get a sense of the layout which they then relay to the party. The party realizes that they'll need a way to transport the steel, and promptly heads to the nearby promenade to procure a cart from a market vendor.
At the market, they encounter an aged harpy food vendor who agrees to lend her cart for the day in exchange for some coin, so long as they bring it back at dawn the next day. The crew agrees, takes the cart, and sets out to the warehouse to begin their caper.
